A.I is the future of filmmaking.

And because I want to be a part of it, I've given myself a challenge:
Make a 100% A.I.-powered short film every week.

Each time, I'll be using a different set of new emerging tools to understand how they work and which one is best adapted for a certain type of project.

This is what I have come up with so far:

Meet Freelancer One : the only action figure who saves the day and still chases payment.

Don’t toy with your freelancers. Pay them.

Toolkit:
Stills: MidJourney V7 + Photoshop Beta
Video/Animations: Kling 2.0 / Luma Ray 2/ Pika 2.0 / Weavy / Runway Gen 4
Voiceover: ElevenLabs
Music : Suno
SFX and sound mix by Louis Boulloche.

Wonder what happens after you die?

Discover this thought-provoking short, adapted from the novel "The Egg" by Andy Weir.

Here’s the toolkit:

A spec car commercial created to test Kling Elements, a new tool that generates videos by smashing multiple images.

I wanted to push its limits by placing the same object in drastically different settings… so what’s better than time travel?
And what’s more iconic than a DeLorean?

AI Workflow & Tools Used:
Midjourney (Reference images)
Front of the DeLorean
Back of the DeLorean
Time period setting
VFX elements

Key Learnings:
Some fidelity loss compared to Kling’s Image-to-Video tool
Impressive environment generation and camera movement, promising for AI-driven VFX

Big thanks to Louis Boulloche for the sound design and to the Prompt Club for their support!

Discover Dreams Burger, a pop-horror short film, entirely made with A.I.

Written by Guy Lewis
Directed by me, Roman Lapacz

The toolkit:
Stills: MidJourney (~ 5000 images) + Photoshop Beta
Video/Animations:
Kling, for it’s prompt accuracy, when facial expression and emotions were key.
Luma Dream Machine, for the important transitions.
Hailuo Minimax, for the action and dynamic shots.
Voiceover /SFX: ElevenLabs.. and Guy Lewis acting talent.
Music: Suno 🎶
Editing: Adobe Premiere Pro Beta

What if the creator of all things decided to try A.I.?

This, is my entry for the 2024 Gen:48 short film competition hosted by Runway.

It's a great contest where participants have to create a film from scratch in 48 hours, using the Runway platform.

The story must creatively incorporate three specific words.

Mine were:
- A vengeful spirit
- An otherworldly volcanic location
- An abandoned ship.

Original still images: OpenAI ChatGPT4 / DALL-E 🤖
Video and animations: Runway (G2 and G1) 🧙‍♂️

And Adobe Premier Pro for the edit.🎬
